A Y Branch Tee 45 Degree is a pipe fitting that resembles a tee but with a branch line angled at 45 degrees instead of the usual 90-degree angle. The pipe fittings are shaped like a letter Y, with a 45° angle between the main outlet and branch outlet.
It’s used to reduce friction and improve flow. If the branch is perpendicular to the main line, it becomes a regular tee. The standard Y shape helps reduce turbulence when joining pipes. When several pipes meet, they form a branch connection. These fittings are commonly used in water, oil, gas, and petrochemical applications.
A tee or cross is an example of a complete fitting. A branch connection can also be in the form of an “O,”  which attaches directly to the pipe. Six inches and smaller are common for threaded fittings. In the larger diameters, die sizes are not available, which is why the pipe end needs to be threaded with a male-type connection.
